Reports
Today on the Callahoosahatchee River, tarpon were biting well in the early morning and late evening hours. Anglers reported success using live mullet or cut bait on the outgoing tide near structures such as bridges or docks. The average size of tarpon caught was around 50-80 pounds, with the largest weighing in at over 100 pounds. As the sun rose higher in the sky, the tarpon bite slowed down but picked up again in the afternoon as the tide changed. Overall, it was a great day on the water with plenty of action and some impressive catches
